Inn at Aspen Collection
There is nothing like Colorado fall in the mountains and if you travel in Pitkin (Aspen) and Gunnison (Crested Butte) counties you will see some of the most fabulous colors if you are there at the right time. Taking pictures Aspens is magical. Morning light coming thru Aspen leaves creates such an iridescent visual and feeling.
I have always been enthralled with the masters of impressionism and their use of light and it was a focus of my Fine Art degree. In this collection, which mimics the impressionism style via photography, my goal was to shoot in a way that captures the light, the mood and the drama of the color that is offered this time of year on Independence Pass and Kebler Pass.
My air mattress in the back of my Volvo, my camping stove, my -45 degree sleeping bag and a warm cup of coffee are always my best friends to ensure I will be ready for the soft morning light and that I can capture the beauty of a spectrum of colors this time of year. There is nothing like waking up to a crisp morning filled with the smell of mountains and fall in the state of Colorado. This is truly one of the best places on earth! Enjoy!
